Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

I dunno. If ya use it to protect you and yours the price of the pistol really doesn’t matter-you’ll have a lot of more pressing stuff to worry about😏. That said,I would never buy (or carry)some grossly overpriced BBQ gun. To me they are simply tools. I want a tool that is 100% reliable, that I can operate well, that I can easily conceal in my regular clothes, and that I don’t need to worry about getting wear on. That’s it, whether it’s $500 or $1500 doesn’t matter. I’ve seen guys carry el cheapo’s because they might lose it if they use it. Seems false economy if it doesn’t meet the above criteria.

For those that mention not carrying an expensive gun for fear of being sieges in an investigation. My bigger worry (just in my situation) is I ravel a lot by airlines and I am more concerned with baggage issues of being lost or stolen. So for that reason I usually carry something that I can replace easily and I have zero attachment to. A M&P 45 compact 2.0 or 45 Shield is great because they are 50 state legal I can replace it for 500 bucks (I have a couple so not a big deal) and we’ll 45 is never a horrible choice

As far as when I don’t fly I don’t worry about it!

I carry the least expensive gun for self defense. Why? Because if I have to use it for the intended purposes, it's gonna be in the evidence locker room for the duration and then some!
Losing a firearm to defend yourself is the least of your worries at that point.
Carry & Use the firearm you are the most proficient and accurate with regardless of price.

I just can’t honestly see why anyone would spend that kind of money on any gun, makes no sense to me, just to say hey I spent bokos of money on this gun…….just me
Thats like spending $10 to a lot of folks in this world.
Folks have jets, boats, exotic cars and hobbies of the like.
sooo many zeros for accounts that their interest alone is greater than that in half a day ..
they exist .. Blue states are forcing them to move south. Just saying …

Trees are going to fall down on their own when they see that thing!

LOL hardly.

I never said Staccatos weren’t good shooting guns, I just get a laugh at everyone chairing cyclic split times and relate it to a must have for personal protection.

You can’t assess that shots 2,3 or 5 are legal at as fast as a lot of folks want to shoot with cyclic split times.

LAPD SWAT is one of the best in the country and run anywhere between .35-.50 (with most being .50) don’t miss and don’t loose very many gunfights with non staccato or race guns.

But hey, cool and prestige mean things!
I was BEFORE SWAT, when street cops were expected to handle everything with a Smith .38 and an Ithaca 37.

I began in 82 with a 357, an 870 and a lever gun in 35 REM. Working where you were by yourself and backup could be an hour out, ammo plentiful because they let us have 200 rifle, 4 boxes of shotgun ammo and he figured speed loaders were cheap, so he give us 4 reloads. It was the wild west in those days. 😂

They don't get any more dead carrying a 5,6,7,10k pistol than they will with my carry pistol.
Maybe you misunderstood my comment, it didn't say I was going all Highpoint or Raven. My carry pistols are very accurate, they never once, failed to go bang or chamber a round. I'll carry my XDM-Elite 3.8" 10mm or .45acp before I carry my Kimber Rapide 10mm.
Heck your cheap gun may be an expensive Wilson or Les Baer. You do you. Both my XDM-Elite are readily available to repurchase, my others are either discontinued or no longer available in my area.
I don't buy firearms I cannot touch first (rule#1), I do not buy firearms over the Internet for any reason, see rule #1.
