Governor Abbot pardons Sgt. Daniel Perry

While I didn’t feel he should have been convicted (or charged) this case is a perfect example of why one should be cautious of any social media posts they make.

His lists are what Fed the whole prosecution along with the climate within the now Woke Austin area

Hi,

I'd like to know more about the case than CNN's slanted reporting. I'll look for more articles. But it is a tragic story all around.

Hi,

In this Daily Mail article there is a picture that sure looks like Foster had raised his rifle at the car Perry was driving.

Personally, I would've stayed at home and been nowhere near any of those protests. Perry had dropped an Uber fare in Austin and made an unfortunate turn into the demonstration. The term "situational awareness" comes to mind.

Here's another, rather harsh, account of the event:

Both articles mention Perry's social media posts. Those certainly don't make him look like an angel. Several reports mention Perry running a red light and ending up in the crowd. I can see where I might try anything to get out of a situation like that. Too bad that just got him deeper into it. Again, "situational awareness". I might've been listening to the radio so that I could avoid the protest area. But, what do I know? I'm just the bass player.

I do pray that God would heal our land.

Most overlook their perception to a jury w to see their social media footprint. That is more damning than any “firearms modification”

And while that has no real bearing when someone is pointing a rifle at you when they are not justified.

The other Big issue is i believe as John Farnam says don't to stupid places where stupid people are at stupid times and so stupid thing (or something like that)

Awareness and Avoidance

Like the Rittenhouse issue while sure he was justified and sure you can go anywhere you want to why?the folks he took out he did someone a favor he sat going through hell for over a year not knowing how it was gonna swing. And for all the folks talking their talk about “I would have done the same thing”why go? And f you say that or the ole “I’d rather be judged by 12” that tells me you have never been mirandized in a use of force incident. And if you were that would change ones outlook.
