Has the current world climate changed your daily routine?

Been paying attention and “see something, say something (ing?)” for lots and lots of years now. First job in USAF incorporated being aware of base security, doing perimeter checks, etc., whenever on duty and having it regularly drilled into head to pay attention to what’s going on around you. Became habit. Having been stationed in lots of places where resources were considered high value targets, the awareness philosophy follows you home. About the only thing I’ve changed is adding some longer barreled firearms to my collection. Since 18, always lived on, or close to, a military base. IMO, it would be foolish not to pay attention.

nope...the entire family has never really been one to attend huge public events, as such in a stadium, ball park, civic center, or even a shopping mall.

too many trouble makers many from out of state, come here, start thier sh!t, then run back home to mama......

its not necessarily the "world climate"...but the regional climate we watch out for.

the USA has drones, radar, satellites, a military, the FBI, CIA, NSA, and other alphabet soup agencies that are constantly watching and gathering intelligence.

its my local representatives, that i make sure i color-in the circles to rid them of thier wanton ways.......

and it's THAT climate, i make sure doesn't interfere with my daily routines.

Interestingly I find the overall status of air travel to be much safer than it was pre-9/11.

I think road rage and other idiots who couldn't probably get on a plane in the first place are a real concern. But yes, if it is less than 8 hours, I'd probably drive too.
 
I flew here and there so much on military assignments that I don't even want to go in an airport any more. Dropping family off or picking family up for flights is as close as I want to get. My truck is 13 years old and I don't want any big road trips either. I guess I'll just stay close to home where Mrs. Greener and my dog are.
 
I haven't flown in years and don't want to fly--I don't think it's safe anymore. A good example is the recent accident in New York. Also too many aircraft almost colliding. If I can't drive there then I don't go. If it's longer than a 12 hour trip, I don't go. Now with TSA issues--forget it!!

I'm not afraid of flying, it's just all the delays and being treated like cattle in a cattle car. There is no way I can get comfortable or enjoy any flying experience anymore. I will stick to driving the Continental US. I have no real strong desire to travel to other countries anymore. I'll drive everywhere I want or need to go.
