Hellcat slide not releasing when inserting magazine

I just got the Hellcat. I expected when the slide was back in the locked position, and I insert a magazine it would rack and load. That is not happening. My sig P365 XMacro does this.

Is this normal or is there something wrong with my hellcat?

It's normal.
I believe it's in the owners manual.

Oh is this something you can change? I like that about my sig.

My p365xl does not, nor does any pistol I have ever owned. I would consider that a flaw in the pistol and have it corrected.

Yes I know I have heard some competitors have done this in the past, but it's not normal operation.

Rack and load automatically without hitting the mag release or slingshotting the slide back ? No guns do that, nor should they.

Yeah, as said before, your 365 shouldn’t be doing that. Since you like it, great, but Sig would consider that a flaw and repair it.
