Recommendations, experience with holographic site for an XD 4" model?

I'm aware of the hassle of the rear site removal.

There is a Holosun, not sure the model number, maybe 507c that may be something you are interested in.

Not available for XD. But something like this is probably optimal for a pistol without a milled slide.

What are you looking for? Sight? Mount?

And are you talking about a slide mounted mini red dot, or an over-the-slide (pictured in previous post) mount running a mini or full size? If the former, are you going to machine the slide, or just get a dovetail mount?

Sights, well, you've got tons of options, with opinions differing on “best”...but, as far as the minis go, top of the line are pretty much considered to be the Trijicon mentioned earlier and the Leupold Deltapoint...with options pricing down from there; it pretty much depends on how much you want to pay.
