First, a Search Overview...

The speech, sometimes titled "I Have a Plan to Destroy America," was later disseminated and became infamous through email chains. Lamm's points focused on the dangers of:
  • Multiculturalism: Discouraging assimilation and emphasizing cultural differences, which he argued would create a fractured and disunified society.
  • Encouraging dependency: Expanding entitlements and encouraging citizens to depend on the government, thereby eroding personal responsibility.
  • Excessive political correctness: Making it difficult to engage in honest discussions about the nation's problems.
  • Fiscal irresponsibility: Driving the country into massive debt.
  • Ignoring economic limits: Promoting an unsustainable "no limits" mentality.
  • Failure of education: Allowing educational standards to slip.
  • Open borders: Opening the borders to mass immigration while refusing to assimilate newcomers.
  • Undermining institutions: Allowing core institutions, such as the family, to weaken.
Lamm believed that by following these policies, the U.S. could be systematically weakened and would eventually destroy itself from within.
