I kinda had my heart set on a PSG-1…

Ikr lol, I gotta admit I put on a dress for a whole lot less at a charity event once and got psid even more to change back lol.
I, uh…might have, in my 20’s, found a size BIG party dress in a thrift store, and wore it for Halloween…low cut, hairy chest, flared skirt, hairy legs, Doc Martens 10 eye boots (black)…and a tiara & wand.

I was the tooth fairy.

Best part—the color perfectly matched my eyes.

No, no pictures of this exist, as far as I am aware.

Might be worth it…

Thats govt pricing.
I’ll take it for $4000 actual please .
After all, its a .308 thats been around for half a century, on a platform just as long with optics that one can buy as well. Nothing special for $33,000

I’ll stick with a hard to find PSG-1 🙂

For a couple grand, you can modify this to match and still save $20k

Yep. We had them in 2004. It was the best semi-auto we had at that time.

As a mostly city dweller I cannot imagine needing that much "JUICE". 10.5" PSA build in 5.56 should gitter done. 1 to 1.5 inch at 100 yds.
There’s a lot of rooftops in Iraq. Most of the monuments in Baghdad were hollow with stairwells leading to observation windows. We had OP’s set up in them. You’d spot a bad guy mortar team pop up on a rooftop and engage them with our sniper systems.

Thank you for your service friend, I am not a veteran and meant no disrespect. Without you, forums like this. Would not exist. I was just giving my opinion as a 59 year old armed civilian.
Peace

It’s all good. That’s what this forum is all about. We also used the M79 “Elephant Gun” Grenade Launcher. Many of us found it easier to shoot and more accurate than the M203. I scored two window shots with one.👍

Fun Fact: The Army opened up the War stock and reissued M14s and M79s right after 9/11.
My Battalion Commander asked me to give the M14s a good inspection. He and I were the only ones in our Battalion that had experience with them.
No Magazines, slings, manuals, or cleaning kits. Half the stocks were wood. The others were fiberglass.
All but a handful had barrels that weren’t shot out!
It took about 6 months before they were “War Ready”. All new National Match barrels, gas systems, operating rods, springs, and stocks.
8 magazines per rifle, tactical slings, cleaning kits, and scope mounts.
The M79s were GTG👍

One of the range officers at my range carried an M14 along with a 1911 when he was in Iraq. He's the nicest guy in the world but I have a sinking suspicion he was/is one bad dude if need be. Retired from the Army as a CSM.

Yep. Several Senior NCOs (myself included) had access to “War Stock”weapons.😊
