I want another cool handgun

Im looking for something cool. I was initially thinking something early 1900s but Im willing to consider something earlier like a Scofield. Im open to suggestions.

I have 1873s and of course 1911s.

Not sure I really what THAT cool. Ive been toying with a Desert Eagle but just cant get past the weight.

Im kinda in a Broomhandle state of mind but I could be swayed. Whatever I want to carry it for at least one day or maybe just to a barbque

They occasionally come up at a reasonable (whatever that means) price. I just recently picked one up from a member here at a very fair price.

And yes they are on my cool list

What about a Linebaugh custom revolver. Chambered in 475 or 500 Linebaugh. Not the DE is chambered in comes close to the power of these 2 cartridges.

Do you remember the 357 maximum? The cartridge was so how it was cutting the top strap of the Ruger single action. Ruger stopped making the 357 maximum Linebaugh bought the frames and that’s how Linebaugh got his start in custom SA’s.

I watch a lot of old movies and that has had me wanting a Colt M series .32 or .380 “pocket”.
A Remington 51 would be neat also.

An old Detective Special fits the bill there, too.

I’ve wanted a Merwin and Hulbert revolver for a long time. Lots to study and learn about there.

Schofields feel off to me, but I still want one.

Walther P5s aren’t as old as what I’ve been naming here, but is another curious gun.

Same with the HK4.

Lugers are always a curiosity.

Id consider a Walther P5 Compact

I have a couple SBsd SxS guns but none with hammers and a Colt New Navy/New Army (the same model Teddy actually carried in Cuba) Its a pre New Service.

Lugers are cool but I cant see me carrying one, even to a Barbeque; but a Broomhandle maybe

I want to revise my selection. What would be more in keeping with the original idea may be an S&W Model 1907 New Century revolver chambered in the then-new .44 S&W Special cartridge. (The original barrel length of 6 1/2 inches seems appropriate.)

The "topstrap cutting" problem in the Ruger was "self-limiting" from most accounts.
