Im thinking of a Red Dot for a hunting rifle

I run red dots on ARs and Shotguns and Pistols, even on a Grenade Launcher, now Im toying with one on a hunting rifle. That might not be unusual; but its for a O/U 308 double rifle. Doubles while capable of longer ranges (cartridge dependent) are typically intended for 100m or less.

This will be primarily for Wild Boar at 50m to maybe 100m. I would typically use irons on doubles; but a red dot seems like it will be faster especially on a running or charging pig. A LPVO with a "Fire Dot" would do the same at 1x and at 4x better at longer distances; but slower on running and certainly slower on a charging target with magnification

The issue is that the rifle has a 11mm rail so I cant use a "regular" red dot for a picatinny rail and using an adapter from 11mm to picatinny will raise the height over bore. I have an older red dot with a 30mm tube that will work with 11mm rings
