Just ordered a surplus .32 ACP. Why? I have no idea.

You'll be happy, because it will shoot in the manner as the vaunted Colt's M1903. I love the way mine shoots. The advantages are as follows:

1. It is an all-steel pistol that barely bobbles in your hand when firing a string of rapid-fire shots. You can place every shot from the magazine in a circle the size of a teacup (at 7 yards) in less time than it takes to tell.
2. The .32 is inherently accurate.
3. The pistol will devour peak pressure loads as if it is candy and begs for more.
4. It disassembles easily and can be cleaned quickly.
5. Even new shooters can shoot it without difficulty.

They are still making the pistols in Serbia, so replacement parts are still available.

Enjoy the handgun. It is an underappreciated pistol in today's .380/9mm crazy world. Shoot it regularly, change the recoil springs (from Wolff gun springs) when needed, and enjoy it!

Yeah, I'm excited about it. I've heard that American-made .32 ACP doesn't feed as well as European, that the rim is different and doesn't have the power reuired. Fiocchi has the European specs, 73gr and runs well.

Indeed, it does. The 73-grain Fiocchi "blue box" (loaded to CIP levels) reaches the vitals without much difficulty.

Consider this, a flurry of hot .32 ACP loads to the chest can bring a confrontation to a quick conclusion.

Back in the 1970s, an El Paso, Texas Detective arrived on the firing range with a Colt's M1903. The Uniforms began snickering. At the beep, the Detective drew and emptied a magazine of .32 within 3 1/2 seconds. the man had shot out a 2" circle you could cover with a teacup. (This isn't coincidental. JMB engineered it this way.)

The uniformed officers stopped snickering.

This is the reason I bought the Bersa Thunder .32. The "little pistol" that does everything you want. At 20 ounces it kicks bootie when needed. The alloy frame keeps it lighter than the Walther PPK and the recoil makes it a real sweetheart. I have been begging Bersa to import more for those of us who believe that 11 rounds (10+1 in the pipe) and four ounces lighter than the Walther PPK is wonderful. The smoother, liger, DA trigger makes it a great carry pistol. (It also carries three more rounds in the magazine to boot.)

I love the way the Thunder .32 handles and shoots. If you can find one, snag it. (You can thank me later.)
