Kuna Malfunction

@500ish rounds through mine, mostly surprised, several types/brands of ammo, zero issues.
About to put another few hundred down range tonight to test what I like best for subsonic.

When I had an early release prodigy, jam o matic and issues. Sent it in, if I recall, it was back in my hands in under 10 days and a perfect runner since, even in the posession of someone else (sold to friend).

Surprised it’s taken this long, to be honest, but it’ll be right when you get it back.
Only problem I’ve heard of is dirty mags causing malfunctions.
I just recently cleaned mine….because I detail stripped and cleaned the whole thing, total break down of the upper, piece by piece. Even though the mags were carboned up a bit, expected running with a can, zero malfunctions.

Thanks everyone for the responses. It is good to know that mine was a one off and not a major issue. I have the Prodigy as well, same issue, fixed it myself with springs.

You got lucky..
my Prodigy was recut chamber, fit barrel, tune extractor, polish feed ramp, and a few other things.
I wasn’t about to tinker with a brand new pistol with obvious flaws… and they fixed it properly and quickly.

Curious to know if anyone else had an issue with the new Kuna. 19 rounds in to mine and the cartridge ejector or extractor went flying down range and a spring and pin fell on the bench. I returned it to SA via RMA almost 3 weeks ago now. Still waiting for it's return.
That is crazy. Mine did the same thing! About 30 rounds and gone!!! They told me 2 weeks, we shall see

Anyone have any idea what would cause this? I’m not real familiar with the Kuna bolt. Is the extractor held in by a roll pin? Or is it just spring tension? I have a Kuna, but haven’t taken the bolt out to closely look at this. Wondering if it’s something we need to check for fit or possibly a part upgrade? Seems like a weird thing to have happen.

Thought pin but now second guessing myself. Will inspect tonight.

It was an interesting conversation with the Customer Service rep. They would not send me a replacement extractor, in the manual says not to mess with the extractor. So I had to send the bolt into them... I wonder why that is, I didn't inspect it much, I was more pissed and just sent it off. I had a event I was going to use it, not now.
