beyond that why wouldnt people today flirt with anything over our capitalism? think: average house price in 1980: $76400 average today $502700. over 6 times more. average tutition for public 4 year degree in 1980: $2550 average today $120000. over 45 times more. average cost if a car in 1980: $7574. in 2026 its about $50,000. almost 7 times more. average income in 1980: $21,000. in 2026 its $69000. just over 3 times more. my nephew went to the U of M, graduated high in his class and is a mechanical engineer. he did everything right. with student debt he cant buy a house. probably never will. capitalism today is screwing kids. they work hard and fall farther behind. no surprise they think of socialism. reagan capitalism f'ed them hard. but elon was over a trillion in wealth, besos builds rockets for fun and 47 grifts like nobodys business. at least carnegie built libraries along with beating workers with sticks. i dont blame the under 50s for being pissed

Being 6—6, I appreciate her height! Regards the inflation post, in 1966 tuition at NAU,in AZ, was $75 a semester…today is $7560! I understand that inflation is a real thing, but even with inflation , that $75 should be a measly $760. Sure wish my salary had gone up that much!

When the US Govt under Pobama said they'd cover school loans the University system saw the cash cow had arrived and turned the educational experience into a Canival Cruise line experience with all the bells & whistles for the entitled kids.

Inflation is that high on those things too… life’s a ***** isnt it… every generation can blame their parents, as the kids always get stuck what they agreed to
