Exactly. But they won't. It would expose all the RINOs. They knew it would fail in this big bill, so that is why they said they supported it because they knew it would never make it.
 
The (d) parliamentarian is just another unelected 'deep state' liberal that is trying to interject her personal ideology (and that of special interest groups) into the bills contents. She was appointed to the position under Harry Reid years ago. It's time for her to go.

The President can ignore her. Vance and Thune has the power to overrule her but Thune says it's not a 'good idea' if the bill is to pass. Thune needs to grow a pair and/or be booted from his position. What good is the bill anyway if nothing significantly changes from the status quo? We're still going to spending tax dollars on special interest groups.
 
I’m trying to find source. I’ve learned everyone spins their own way 😂. For instance, sbr were never included, just silencer. Section 112030

Think people are confusing the reconciliation bill which was trying to remove tax with the hpa and short acts which seek to eliminate from nfa

The House version just had suppressors, but the Senate version added SBRs and SBSs.

I wasn't sure if this deserved a separate thread as it's related to the SBR situation. This is an excerpt from a newsletter today. I'm still doing research, trying to find a news story on new Trump/DOJ rulings.

American citizens have secured two more YUGE Second Amendment wins at the hands of President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice.

The first of these wins involves the news breaking yesterday afternoon that the Trump Department of Justice has dropped all efforts in its litigation against arm braces for firearms. The Biden administration had sought to classify pistols equipped with arm braces as “short barreled rifles,” which would result in these firearms being treated in the same manner as machine guns for purposes of federal registration, tax laws, and criminal prosecution.

The second of these wins relates to a federal court distinguishing between the class of persons who qualify for Second American protections, noting that the Second Amendment applies to the People, meaning American citizens (and perhaps permanent legal residents who have been accepted as such by the US government), but NOT to mere people (lower case) meaning even those who are illegally present in the US—the 100 million illegal migrant third-world invaders in currently infesting our nation.

Both of these are important, but the second particularly so, as it highlights the distinction between People (upper case) and people (lower case) within the United States, which will also have important implications in the upcoming litigation around so-called birthright citizenship. Distinguishing these two classes of persons is essential to America’s national survival—America is for Americans, it is not for all 8 billion people on the planet.

If I'm reading this correctly, pistol braces and "short barreled rifles" should soon be deregulated. Plus, only law abiding US citizens (and perhaps legal residents) will enjoy 2A rights.

I'm still looking for a news release from the administration and still taking a wait-and-see attitude. I've got my eye on an SBR, hoping this is good news for all who enjoy them.
