Luger History: World’s Most Recognizable Pistol

Another gun I just say “meh” to.
I recongize its importance, quality, and craftsmanship for cutting edge of the era, but overall look of the gun to me is “meh”.
Not my jam, just like the AK.

I have always enjoyed your work, I think because you grew up parallel to me but in a different state. I hope you never outgrew your love of convertibles. The 80's were a great time to grow up with fun cars available to anyone that worked hard. If you make it up to the Bianchi Cup held at my Rifle and Pistol Club I will buy you a steak dinner!

What an epic ride! That's a beautiful car, brother. Mine was a Buick Skylark, the only ragtop in town. I wasn't cool, but I could see it from here rolling in that beast.

Awesome! Anything you can take the doors off of I am all for. My current favorite toy. Not quite an airplane, but as close as I will get.

My uncle brought a 4” Luger back from the war. I finally got a chance to play with it. Amazingly bad sights, shot about 3” high at 50’, but it was reliable and shot very well. I know about the money-bar trigger linkage, but in spite of that, it actually had a pretty good trigger pull. I liked it enough that after I gave it back, I started looking for one for myself. I found a nice 1934 Mauser made Luger. I don’t take it out that frequently, but it is very accurate and fun to shoot.

My ragtop car was a ’65 VW.
