Massachusetts Drama

If such a law was passed and upheld in federal courts then it would be the beginning of the end for the gun industry. If more states passed similar laws it would only be a matter of time before the anti-gunners would be calling for a federal law to do the same to shut down manufacturing in states that didn't cave.

I don't understand why any firearms manufacturer continues to have facilities in the well-known "anti-2A/socialist" states, including Springfield Armory who 's building a new facility in IL when they can easily move less than 30 miles to Iowa.

More laws that have no basis in reality. I think the FBI stats from 2017 show that roughly 300 Americans were killed by rifles. Let’s ban the manufacture of them in Massachusetts.
Well they did it in Connecticut.
When I worked for Mossberg, “which is home based in North Haven CT” all the company could do was machine the receiver for bolt action, machine the upper and lower for the MMR and machine the wood for shotguns.
Everything was then shipped to the Texas assembly plant, put together and shipped to dealers from there.
And just think it was the New England states that had the most firearms manufacturing for close to 3 centuries.

When Olympic Arms, located in Washington state, produced AR15s back in the early 80s they couldn't produce full auto lowers because Washington was and is a non class 3 state. So they sent 80% lowers to a company in Oregon called P.A.W.S. Inc. which finished the lowers in a full-auto configuration, but in 1986 all of this went by the wayside.

The way things are going is kind of "back to the states". If the people of Massachusetts allow their politicians to remain in office after doing this stuff then they get what they deserve. I have a good friend who was a lifelong Massachusetts resident. He recently retired to Tennessee. He's never been happier.

This is not surprising to anyone that lives here. It is not a very friendly state as far as firearms are concerned. Come election time, the same people making the laws get voted right back in.
