Yes, you did what you had to do. Your wife is mad, understandably so. However, with the way things are today, people in our age brackets need to show that we are NOT easy targets. Remember what Colonel Jeff Cooper said: " They have to learn to fear their victims". They need to learn that NONE of us are going to be easy targets. If they value their livelihood, they will need to learn to give us a wide berth. This isn't the first time in our nation's, and the world's history that something like this has happened. And, unfortunately, it won't be the last.

Here in my little part of Idaho, this type of thing happens VERY infrequently. Most parents raise their children prudently, and most everyone either packs, has a weapon close at hand, and pretty much every homeowner is armed. Great folks, but do not misjudge their kindness for weakness.

I gave my daughter and her husband a sign and they put it on the front of there garage. It says No Trespassing we are running out of room to bury bodies. They live on 10 acres and her husband is a retired LEO like me, both are good shots.
