I hopefully be purchasing one more firearm this year. I have it down to 2 guns. Either an Echelon 4.0c comp or a Walther PDP 4''. I do not have any experience with the Walther but I will say I could purchase a new one for under $500.00. They list for $699. If you had a choice between these 2 pistols only which one would you buy. Neither gun will be used for carry, range only.

I have an Echelon full-sized comp with the Sharps Bros grip frame and its a really nice shooter. I only own one Walther and its the WMP .22mag. I shoot a 10in plate at 100yds with both. The comped Echelon is a really soft recoiling pistol.

I have the 4in compact (shorter grip) and it is a great gun. Easy to shoot, great trigger, great ergos and IMO, looks much nicer than the Echelon. The only downside is you have to wait for your free optic plate when buy the gun. There are a couple of optics that direct mount. Here’s mine with a Holosun SCS. The nice thing with the SCS for PDP is it has cuts in the body to match the slide.

Here it is with an aftermarket slide and the 18rd mag from the PDP Pro X Compact.

Walther

Thanks everyone! Looks like the Walther is the winner. I will have to read up more on that brand.
I'll affirm your decision.

Walther PDP Pro Compacts are my go to striker fired. Love them.

Not sure your budget - but the DPT trigger on the pros are worth the price difference to me - plus the magwell and threaded barrel make the price for the Pro versions a better deal in my thinking.

Highly recommend a brass back strap (eventually) - that added few ounces really make the grip fall even more nicely in the hand.

I was a PDP guy, now I'm an Echelon guy... Both are great shooting guns, but I prefer the options that the Echelon gives over the PDP.
