Good morning to all. I recently acquired 2 45 pistols. 1 is a new old stock Springfield 1911 Stainless. The other is a used Kimber Pro CDP II Stainless that arrived with 1 of the stocks split in half, so suggestions for replacement. Quality but not Guchi. I am kinda new to the 1911. I qualified with the 45 in the service but didn't carry or even shoot one much. I have a Colt series 70 38 Super and LW 9 and a Colt Double Eagle 40. I haven't shot the 40 for 20 years. I do have a Sig 45 that is a joy to shoot and got Mr interested in the 45's. I have not shot either one due to a 4 year fight with that pesky cancer bug. Do you recommend cycling the slide on these to lighten them up? I have Snapchat on order for dry firing. Thank you for any suggestions.
