Has anyone here changed their tub to a shower? I do not want anything fancy. Just remove fiberglass tub enclosure and install shower enclosure. We had one company come in and give us a quote and they wanted over $10 Grand! I can't believe it costs that much. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
i am tired, and i was on my feet all day...
my nap time is coming up, as soon as the a/c cools down my tv room.
i read your title fast and with blurred eyes.
i thought it said......"new shooter"
that being said, for us here...NO...our house is too old, and all the bathrooms (3 in total) are way too small and narrow
however there are quite a few local (to me) tub and shower in 1 day companies here...
and on the tv there is the Jacuzzi company that does this as well
lots does need to be done, new subflooring, concrete liner, possible blue board and plumbing.
How much does it cost to take out a tub and replace with a shower?
Most homeowners pay around $3,000 for a tub-to-shower conversion, but prices can range
between $1,200 and $15,000. Your final bathroom remodeling bill depends mostly on whether you buy an off-the-shelf unit or go custom—plus whatever doors and fancy fixtures catch your eye.Jun 10, 2025
