Not one but two. Range report (without target pictures).

Well I finally went and picked up my other nocturne yesterday (as I was getting emails to pick it up). So the trip was interesting in the rain but I was growing impatient to get it.

When I got home I got the light to add to it. As every time before range day. I preloaded my magazines (saw I had some Remington 124 grain, ammo inc 124 grain, and freedom 124 grain in box form) and got ready.

Getting to the range I shot both nocturnes. At different distances and remember why I like what I like. I did use up the ammo in 50 round boxes and started using the federal champion from the bulk pack

Last but not least. I find it odd that the nocturne I bought has a lower serial number than the used one I got off of gunbroker.

Would you mind sharing what you like about it? I’ve considered one (love my Shadow 2 Carry, but heavy). I see Langdon Tactical offers one they tweak a bit as well (nocturne). As for serial numbers, your lower number may have sat in a warehouse a bit and/or they were initially delivered to different distributors and one sat longer than the other.

The P09C nocturne ergonomic’s are really good, the sights are good (might change depending on cost), and the extra features that CZ put in for the SA/DA hammer.

I still have to put the optic on the newly bought nocturne.

Hi,

You got another one just like the other one. Why not? As John says...

Thank you for your indulgence,

Well a friend bought one off of me before going down to Alabama. So I had to FFL it to him and I think that’s when it dawned on me that 2 are better than none. Also if I get something I like then I make it a pair (did that to my XDm-9 too).

I get you. ;) I have two XD9 pistols, but they're a little different. One 4" Service an one Mod.3 w/optic. I have a pair of Henry levers (.357 and .22), a pair of Echelons (4.5F Comp and 5.28 Threaded), etc, so I can relate. I'm a "more is more" kind of guy. :p

Thank you for your indulgence,

Had a performance trigger kit put into my daughters Nocturne.
Wow. What a difference. A 2.5lb break. Super smooth. Makes a huge impact on the trigger break quality over stock

I have a milled P07C (Gen 1 P09C) and it has to be one of the most underrated EDC guns there is. I upgraded the hammer spring, fire control system, installed the Cajun Gun Works P series spring upgrade and heavy duty firing pin. The SA pull is ridiculous and the DA pull is sublime. The gun conceals very nicely, fits the hand extremely well and is accurate to a fault. And when it’s go time, the gun is fast. It’s my primary carry gun.

Oddly enough I got into liking CZ when the nocturne came out and didn’t know about the P07 that it replaced. Bad part right now is trying to find magazines.
