Wouldn't this set a precedence to go after automakers when a car they made is involved in an accident or a DUI situation. They keep saying how other manufacturers are responsible for defective products, so are firearms manufacturers. Asbestos, tobacco etc knowingly sold products they new caused damage by their very use. They want to go after firearms manufacturers for mis-use or illegal use, not because they are defective. That is what the lawful commerce act says they cannot do.

The voters don't get a say to the legislation. Its not like it goes out for "public comment," so most folks won't bat an eye until it gets out of committee and on the floor (hopefully for debate) and before the guv'ner signs.
