Oh need a bubble on your precision rifle?

I am no Carlos Hathcock but sis go to my Agencies M/O school and was behind a rifle for about 6 years…….No you don’t

Now if you are really into that 1,000 yard game and compete maybe sure but I find the majority of folks that talk about 1,000 yard shots have no clue what the mil dot holdover, bullet drop or even the ability to convert distance between mil dots at that range.

But if that’s your thing several companies make stuff to take your money!

Good luck

I run an rz1000 and shoot it to 1,000. I 100% use a bubble lol. I also have a dope book about 50 pages deep. Yes, 80% of people don't shoot to 1000 yards but 20% of us do. Most don't need half the stuff they buy so.... should everyone stop buying stuff and makers go outta buisness?

My comment was not ment towards folk that actually do it, I just get a chuckle on the larger percent that buy into stuff they will never ever use or even understand how to use it.

Wether sniper craft stuff on rifles, to after market mill cuts, comps whatever on there pistols

For those guys they probably shouldn’t criticize their wife’s purchase of shoes and accessories as it’s the same thing!

All good brother I know we buy 80% stuff we don't need but it's like crack 😜 🤪 😳.. I lost my dope book btw last year. No end to how pissed I was. That scope works off specific loads and bullets so took a LOT of time. Gave me an excuse to go back out though lol .

i was musing...my 308 Ar 10 i never am in a position to be LEVEL..
that thing would drive me crazy

but i could see a few guys at the range that would be oh yes got to have one for that 200 yard shot from the tree :ROFLMAO:

I got a couple on deer rifles, made a few long shots in cutovers on deer but never looked at the level. lol but mine are el cheapos not integrated with the scope mount.

I got an add on too but to be fair shooting at 1k it really helps. Integrated just is one less thing to worry about.

1k is easy. I've been to 1840 yards and thats just over 1 mile.. That is tough shooting and requires every tool available.
Better man than me Sir. I can do 500 bodyshot pretty consistently but 1,000 for me is tough sledding. I can hit it but probably only about 70% to 80% of the time. I'm running a .308 though maybe your running something flatter

This, it was not until taking an actual long range class that I am hooked. Luckily a new range I joined, I was able to qualify to use the 1600yrd range. You always hear people in the gunstore talking about the 600 800 yrd deer they took with a 3x9 50 dollar scope the 30-30 rifle that they shoot 5 times a year with what ever ammo they have on the shelf. Yeah I call BS. When you ask about the Mil or MOA correction the subject quickly changes.

By the way my Barrett using Vmax is 8.6 mils up at a density altitude of 1395ft with 53%humidity. I had to look in my log book to remember the DA.

Now that mount is pretty cool, it puts the bubble level in a convenient spot and since it is part of the mount you don’t have to worry about it getting knocked loose. The bubble level really helps if you are trying to take repetitive shots with the same circumstances same as you would watch the wind, waiting to take a shot until it matches prior shots. Yes off canted shooting does effect the bullet flight but it depends on the groups you are going after. The more variables you can control or be able to reduce the better shots you can be capable of. Short distances you can get away using a 45degree off set mount, but the further out you go that error can add up to a miss.

I have my next 1-1000 class booked, then I am going to take the 1000-1 mile class after.

Yes for sure, no chance of it moving if bumped or getting caught on something.

Speaking of Gadgets wait till people learn about the Kestrel ballistic calculators

Just a thought on shooting a mile..

The 338 beats the hell out of a 308 win.

Im going to start a Cheytac build this summer. I guess you're gonna put it down as well?
? I wasn't putting down ur caliber or other chassis. They shoot much better Than my .308. The drop on a .308 at that range is ridiculous lol. Why I was comparing my .308 trajectory with an m79 lol. I was actually thinking of getting another PR but I really don't wanna start over 😕. Took me too long to get as bad as I am on my savage lol.
