Open carry is for fools!

Open Carry not for me,not to say it has its place, out hiking camping fishing etc,but every day out the house, work shopping eating out,I carry and most of the times Kate will aswell but we don't want anyone else to know,it's there if we need it,why when crime is always seems to be on the rise everywhere why make yourself more of a target than needs to be.

Hell yeah. The sequel City Primeval was good as well.

Ah no .

The novel City Primeval was good , but it was a stand alone novel , with stand alone characters .

The crass attempt to shoehorn in Raylan for the name recognition was a cluster .

A legit adaptation of City Primevial would have been much better .

A reasonably well done origonal story line with Raylan would have been much better .

I'm sure that most attempts to adapt most any of Leonard's books is probably hard. My dad was a big fan of his. I still enjoyed the series. The same could probably be said about Grishham. Then again I've never read any Leonard.

That, and the original “Justified” ended PERFECTLY. Raylan & Boyd’s relationship to each other summed up perfectly in just 3 words:

“We dug coal”.

“City Primeval” utterly ruined that.

Given the way their lack of fear turned out for them I think it's likely to give people in that situation in the future pause.
Gotta disagree. By same logic could say instead of just grabbing the weapon it would be a more violent initial contact or a larger group attacking the perceived threat.

Not so much a commentary on open carry, just I don’t believe people because of that incident would be more passive. I think it goes the other direction and escalates faster. The lesson learned may be to assume they will shoot and act accordingly

I recently binged The Shield. Walton Goggins ( Boyd) plays a cop. It took the whole first season before I could reconcile that with Boyd Crowder. It helped that he was a crooked cop. And in the end that was a pretty good series too, but I didn't care for the ending.
He played the role of a tranny in Sons of Anarchy that cracked me up. What a great versatile actor.

No one said more passive, but considering there is precedent for a successful self defense verdict in the Rittenhouse case I think people might or at least should think twice before attacking a dude walking around with a rifle.

There was not a lot of "thinking" about logical consequences going on out there in Kenosha. We see a lot of that kind of stupidity here in Florida during Spring Break. Add firearms to the mix, and well.....

True. Not sure if in a similar situation though that would be in the mind of the people thinking of attacking or more the person with rifle.

The psychology of it all is pretty interesting and so many different factors at work.

Good discussion points 👍
