+P ammo

I did search the owners manual and used the search topic in this forum in an effort to determine if the XD-S pistols, both 9mm and .45 ACP are +P rated. I could not locate this point in either location. Does anyone know the answer? Thinking of getting the 45 and haven’t own one previously. Thanks for a positive response to anyone knowledgeable on the topic.

I don't know the answer to your question, but as a life long .45 ACP guy I can tell you there is zero reason to use +P .45 ACP ammo. Regular 230gr. HST is going to be very, VERY difficult to do better than.

Disagree. To an extent
.45 ACP can skip off a hog skull.
.45 255+P Hard cast leaves a quarter size hole.
But most folks wont wncounted a hog on Main Street USA

I'd be curious to know approximately how many have skipped off a hog skull ?

Seems to me if I was hog hunting I might pick something other than a .45 caliber handgun too.
