Picked up a new blaster.

Been a while since I posted, but Im here. Just wanted to share with you guys a new blaster Ive been wanting for many years but the timing was never in my favor. Well the planets aligned and it was meant to be. The other day I walked into my local shop and was really impressed with what had happened. Its been about two months since I was last in there, and the selection was a tad on the weak side for the last few years. I know the owner and workers well since before they had their ffl. Well I was really impressed with the selection. The entire main wall was adorned with ARs from Colt, BCM, Springfield, solgw, DD, and Barretts. The WWII stock was even solid. At the very top smack dab in the middle was a gem Ive wanted for some time since I shot one back in the early 2000s. The Steyr AUG. I had to have it, so it left with me. This is the AUG M3 A1 in mud color.

Nice.

AUGs are my favorite handling rifle out there, period; I’ve got two, an M3A1 with factory optic, and a preban with 9mm conversion.

The M3A1 is my go-to defensive rifle. Only drawback is off-shoulder drills...
Its definitely hits hard in all categories but off shoulder drills or transitions. They just shine in so many areas its hard to not capitalize on its many strengths. That’s awesome you got two. I want another in OD Green.

What’s going to surprise you is how dang accurate that rifle is. I can usually go 10/10 on a 6” steel at 200yds, no problem, using M193...that trigger, though heavy, breaks so clean that shooting it is easy.

I believe it. I seen the reports from other shooters that benched them. One dude got sub moa on several loads on a bench. The article from guns and ammo from 2016 was the one. Im gunna get a magnifier for the red dot, but may opt to run my Eotech Vudu on it.

Well I did some modifications to the Steyr. I replaced the mag release, charging handle and factory front grip. I have more on order, but fast is not the best way to describe the shipping times.
I went with a Modlite OKW and Unity hotbutton up front with a grip from Troy industries. The forward mlok rail is from Corvus Defensio out of Austria. The charging handle, mag release and rear sling socket are all from them as well.
