Nothing wrong with that. Its a great example of a 21st century GoToWar size SMG. Whats your reasoning for the muzzle device? It looks cool but adds length....

I love the U.N.C.L.E. Special; but if you look close, youll see it has no front sight. They cut down P1s but never replaced the front sight. Fun Fact: when they made the prop for the TV show, they made the guns FULL AUTO without getting ATF permission. They ended up paying a healthy fine. Oooops
When Robert Culp played Kelly Robinson in the TV show I Spy, he requested a special gun. Culp was a shooter. They modified a Walther P1 by shortening the barrel but keeping the frontsight. Both UNCLE and I Spy predated the Walther P38K (real life imitating Hollywood?)

One can put a mp5k in a shoulder rig. Smaller Backpack is super easy.

Yep. Ive got a similar rig for my "K". Its another one of those "do-able" things. I needed to have a suit fitted for it. You should have seen the tailor when I pulled that out! I had told him I need the suit for work and it had to fit when I was wearing a vest and my shoulder holster. I guess I should have mentioned which holster.
Its not something you wanna wear if youre moving around a lot. Its heavy but it always feels like its flopping around. Its not but when you get that much mass moving--it moves

Adding a stock to a pistol makes it a NFA item right? NOT EXACTLY Only if the stock is "permanently" attached BUT what if it falls away when you release your grip? Then its NOT a SBR
Your pistol (fits most) fits in the "C" shaped cup on the brace. It provides a stable platform BUT falls away when you release your grip, so NO NFA worries

My example of covert operations is getting into the pastries without my wife catching me so all the discussion of "Go To War" is out of my physical and age limitations now days. The muzzle device is simply a blast can to redirect the blast away from my wife who is the primary user of the Stribog. My days of hoppin' and poppin' are in my rearview mirror.

I think theres a place for them (at least for me). Its a LOCATION thing. Im in a suburban area so mostly any ranges are limited, should there be "Troubles in the Streets". A SMG (semi) is easier to "carry" concealed than a full size rifle. Its also easier to maneuver in confined spaces of say a vehicle.

I guess I didnt explain well enough. The chassis in your picture has a brace BUT if it had a stock that chassis would be considered "permanently" attached. The item I showed when discussing "permanently" attached is only held in place by the shooters grip. When you release the grip it falls away. The CAA chassis is definitely attached
Im NOT a fan of the CAA chassis. It seems overly bulky for whet it does. The same pistol can be mounted in the Recover 2020 chassis and be carried in a holster. YMMV

The pistol can be released from the CAA chassis in a matter of seconds, so it's not permanently attached.
And CAA offers a NFA stock option for them, even though the pistol is still "not" permanently attached.
CAA also has various generations with the EVO being the slimmest.
I don't consider the "fall away" stock set-up a PDW nor SMG as per the title of this thread, but the CAA chassis is in the same category as the other examples posted here.
It works fine for my Glocks and makes them more useable.
Variety is the spice of life.

Im not being clear. ATF considers it permanent IF its attached anyway that it doesnt fall off. Im not sure but this may even include being held in place by a magnet???
Yes they have ones with a stock and ones with a brace, like the one in your picture
Honestly neither do I but I posted the picture of the "fall away" as an option for some who might see virtue in having a "Not a Stock". Its slow to get into position; but once held in place, its pretty steady
Agreed it is a working example of a chassis brace. I know lots of guys like them and they are competitively priced, especially when compared to the FLUX/Sig set up
