Positional Shooting Tips for Hunters

I rarely have a pack or backpack on me hunting. exception is big game out west.
Usual method is what is available. across a 4 wheeler seat, tree limb, tree trunk or any other suitable brace.
I think the key is finding that "brace" that is available in the environment you find yourself it.
just dont blow the tail light out of your truck using your truck bed ;)

Tree, fence post, prone on bag (when I was seriously varmint hunting we had two 25lb “shot” bags stuffed with hard styrofoam pellets and tied together with a short piece of clothesline rope (6”?). You could carry them anywhere because of lack of weight, drop in a field, lay one on the other, mount the rifle and shoot. Also worked on the roof of the truck when standing in the bed. The entire point is something that’ll let you anchor that rifle to minimize movement.
