Question on Springfield and there ILS

When did SA stop putting this on there 1911’s? My recent purchase of the RO Operator doesn’t have it, I never used it and was just wondering.

It was there Intrical Locking System in the mainspring housing on there 1911’s. Basically it locked the gun like the S&W revolvers did, came with 2 keys

Okay, kinda like some Remington rifles in the early 2000s.

My 1911 RO didn’t come with it either.

I’m pretty sure my Ronin has one. Don’t know about my RO.

Maybe a state requirement? Like some states require the fired case.

So I stand corrected. Neither of my SA1911s have ILS. Where the locking device should be is a flat plug, which I mistook for the ILS. Neither gun came with the key either.
