Not to mention, if it's dark or even low light, those fiber optic rods might as well be filled with mud. There's something comforting about glancing over at the nightstand and seeing those two green eyes glowing back at me.

The ability to get a good sight picture in low light cannot be undervalued. Blacked out, "white dot," or fiber optic sights all fail in these conditions - at least for me - because I just can't see them. If I'm diligent about my battery maintenance, my pistol optic will do the trick, but I still like a good co-witness . . . and, again, non-tritium sights might as well not be there in the dark or near-dark.
Small print: Between Scentsy wax burners, night lights, and Wi-Fi-enabled light switches, there is adequate illumination in our home for me to see if I'm woken from a deep sleep. Yes, those glowing green dots on my rear sights also provide a marker for me to grab my pistol from the nightstand, too.
In short, I put night sights on ALL my pistols, if possible. They work great in bright light, adequate light, low light, or no light. My experience has not been as consistent with other types of sights.

I do understand that night sights allow you to see your your sights in dim lights better then anything else including fiber optics. Ill admit to having a large ivory bead on my double rifles to make them more visible in the shade. Ill even admit to hearing about guys having a gemstone (ruby, diamond) installed in the front sight on dangerous game rifles for the same reason BUT in all those cases theres enough light to see the target.
YES Ill admit night sights are more visible and YES I have them on the guns that had them on when I bought them but I dont add them to guns anymore. For ME identifying the target is more/MOST important and every time Ive needed to see a target (training and real world), I was OK with standard irons.
Perhaps its an extension of instinct shooting, remember we're talking about handgun combat distances. Im not suggesting just pointing the gun; but aiming it as normal. In a worst case situation with the only light coming from behind the target, your target will be a silhouette and youll have enough light to center the gun on the target.

The tactical rack / ledge rear are nice sights and practical. The only downside to me is that they just don't have that nice clean look to them like a Novak or others of similar shape.
Here is a question: What advantage ( other than a marginally longer sight radius ) if any does this Wilson / Vickers fixed Rear have over a standard Wilson rear battlesight. I believe they are the same height and looks wise I prefer the smaller standard one.
