Red dot vs. Green dot

I prefer red

Like I said above, all my dots are green but I forgot, getting old sux, that my competition dot is red 8moa because I couldn't find a green bigger than 6 moa.


I also use HuntersHD Gold shooting glasses that make the dot POP.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, I had cataract surgery in both eyes and have no issues with colors or focus. Had the trifocals implanted. I had really bad eyesight since a kid

I much prefer Holosun's Gold dot offerings. I'm slightly red/green colorblind so the amber dot is much easier to discern on varied backgrounds. I'll always reach for a Holosun Gold over anything else.

I'm surprised no one else has come up with an amber offering.

I'd like to compare the same model Holosun gold and green, side by side, just to see the difference between the two.

I was green because red started to bloom on me and then I had cataract surgery and now green blooms on me and I’m spending a small fortune replacing all my green dots with red dots.

I swore by red and the I bought a pistol that came with and inexpensive optic that was green…no scientific basic but really liking the green, particularly when I use my flashlight…

I don't have any but if I ever get one will likely go with green since all else being equal it's easier to see.

trijicon has offered that color for a good decade or so and not just in scopes, but in rds's.
