When they added reality TV into it, it started downhill as far as I was concerned!

yup, all 3 of my girls would die if they missed one minute of that show.

i once told them i'll smash that god damned tv if i hear it too loud.....

I remember it. I was 27 with a wife and a 2 year old son. I was working third shift at the time. They made a big deal out of it and it was really popular. Folks would keep their VCRs loaded and ready to record their favorite videos.
I watched it some, but never really got into it.

In the mid-90's MTV dumped Rock & Roll to focus on Rap (not really music) and reality TV shows, so as per JMs, The Doors, song...

that was THE END of MTV.

Just out of curiosity, I looked up MTV on my local cable guide. Actually had to use the voice search feature to find it. I checked the schedule for the next week. Not a damned thing worth watching. They might as well take it off the air.
