Looks like things may have changed now, have to wait and see

It may not be the win we wanted, but it is inching closer. And in all honesty Idid not believe we would get anything. Lets hope at a minimum 0 dollar tax stamps sticks. I am going to SBR every thing. On top of that the 20 or so suppressors that are in my name, I could now afford to move over to my trust since it will be no cost. Although it sucks since it will have to be paper forms. Now if they could add non SOT to individual on eforms that would be great.

i'd be building several sbr's also if that would be the case! some cases, not calibers per se are better suited for such builds as some build 6.5grens and 6.5creeds in sbr configs....................kinda pointless! even for pdws's in medium to large magnums are built............seriously! whatever floats their boat i guess?

I still will believe it when i see it. if they knock off the tax i'll SBR all my pistols. but it will probably take months to get approved. some won't do it cause they don't want to file with the atf. I don't see anything going down in price either. if they start selling like hotcakes, why would they reduce the price on a suppressor?

Been seeing a lot of "I'm not voting in the midterms" comments on Youtube (not here in this forum). I applaud you all here, my forum bretheren, for not acting like overgrown toddlers about this. So kudos to you all for that.

People who have RINOs should be organizing primaries, not stamping their feet and crying. And honestly, people who are that emotionally unstable shouldn't own firearms.

I can't believe that in 2025 some people still default back to "I'm not voting, that'll show em". Disgusting.

Speaking for Texas, I can't wait to primary RINO Cornyn out of office.

If this approach passes the Parlementarian Tax roadblock, after the BBB passes then the Repubs need to follow-up with removing the SBR, SBS, AOW, and silencer regulations from the NFA in a seperate bill.
Agreed. But I don't think we would get the 60 Senate votes to actually get it done. Do you see anyone on the Democrat side that would vote for this?

If it were only that easy. I'll use my own state of ME and Susan Collins as an example.
You have to find someone that is pure as the driven snow. Someone that has the time, $ and energy to take up the gauntlet. Then you have the Maine republican party that's "willing to help all Canidates" all the while telling you why you should be doing this, it's bad for the "party" and throwing every roadblock in your path they can think of. Have your life put under a microscope by the liberal media, quietly cheered on and assisted by the MRP. Then come primary day any "unenrolled" (the largest voting bloc in ME) can vote in whatever primary they choose. So, all the left leaning unenrolled vote in the Republican primary for Collins. Why not she is on their side better than 70% of the time. Most people will not fight for a mostly lost cause. Call it defeatism if you will, but it is a reality here in the formally great Pinetree State. Still, we keep beating our heads against the wall and we keep getting a bloody for our effort. Add to all that here in 2nd CD the MDP keeps running far left moonbats that even normal democrats (they are getting fewer and fewer every year) won't vote for so Susan can keep on keeping on.

You're still addressing the symptom, not the problem. You need to take over the Maine Republican Party first. And I never said it would be easy, but it's also not impossible. One thing I DO know is that if you just put your head down and do nothing, things will never change. You have to keep trying, as daunting as it may be.

This is our problem as a party. We're weak and lazy. We win one big national election, and we just say "That's it, not doing anything more". We have to change that thinking. 2024 was the START of the war, not the end.

The reality is, nothing will change no matter who's voted into office. We've been flip flopping back and forth between Democrats, Republicans, career politicians, and idealistic newcomers for over a century now, and we still remain on the same path.

I don't believe that. We've had a lot of rising stars in the Republican party lately. Byron Donalds, Nancy Mace, Eli Crane, Ana Luna, MTG, etc. We just have to keep that momentum going.

For however long we keep thinking we can't change it, we won't. And if we dont try, we definitely won't.

This fatalist line of thinking is what keeps us down and holds us back. The minute ANYTHING goes wrong we fall back on it and give up.

Look at the big beautiful bill... It's not everything we wanted, but there are wins in it, aren't there? Instead of focusing on that and getting fired up to keep the momentum going, people just give up and pout about what didn't turn out the way they wanted.

I don't know why people thought Trp winning would solve everything. Like I said before, this is the BEGINNING of the war. Not the end.
