Review: Springfield XD Mod.4 OSP 9mm

Still carry my XD Mod.2 subcompact when the day calls for something a little more "svelte . . . (and yes, I still love that "Grip Zone!") ;)

Still kicking

It is a good article, but I think by now the XD model series has played itself out. I would love if the Echelon and the Prodigy expand the lines to include .45 ACP, 10mm, .40 S&W, and bring back the .357 SIG too. Modular is the way to go, with threaded barrels, comps, ports, full size, AOS, and compact size versions. The options are endless,

I liking the Hellcat and the Echelons but it is good to see that the XD line is evolving as a budget option in their lineup.

Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled “Review: Springfield XD Mod.4 OSP 9mm” and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/springfield-xd-mod-4-osp-9mm-review/.

I have owned and operated a range and retail store for the past 20 years. When I was first able to start selling Springfields, the XD was my biggest seller. I fell in love with the way if felt in my grip -- way better than the "G"'s out there. We still sell as many as we can and hope to do so for many more years.

Stores like yours are my favorite. My local Rural King gun barn don’t understand how they are

I saw the mod 4 starting to show up online a few weeks back. I liked the mod 3 better and was happy to pick one up when I found one in stock. My local store couldn't get one. Luckily, I found one about 100 miles away. Now if I could just get a #2 optic plate, I'd be set. I talked to SA cust. service this morning and was told they're expecting the plates in July

Hi,

I have the XD3 in 9mm will not sell it or trade it. I have to say the Springfield line is my favorite. I just got the Hellcat 9mm compact. If Springfield keeps putting out handguns like this, I will keep buying.

Welcome to the forum from the Wild Wild Upper Midwest. Glad you joined us. But you and me might have to arm wrestle to settle who is the biggest Springfield fanboy. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

Just FYI, I like the plates from C&H. I bought their installation kit too.
