Run on gun purchases with pandemic

Went to the indoor range today.
they are a national chain with quite an extensive firearm selection.
It was a MADHOUSE !!

I am friends with the manager and he said they did more sales today before noon than all of black Friday week end and black friday was a sale of Cost+10%.
Today, Every employee was running background checks and selling firearms. 15 employees on the floor. AR’s and AR pistols were a hot commodity. Watched one guy say he was going to pass on a Sig Tread and a guy behind him said he would take it.

Customers were 2 deep at the counters.
They were out of all.223/5.56 due to a “scare” with the pandemic. All local big box retailers were out of ammo and everyone was going to the range to buy. He sold out of 9mm before I left and they had a pallet out on the floor.

Big gun show here in MN was canceled.

And Wanamacher’s Tulsa show has been canceled...

I hit Cabela's and PSA along with a couple of local folks and everyone of them
were slap out of AR-14's.....
A lot of the fully semi-automatics were going out the doors.....
In a couple months when dealers can't move anything after restocking
there may be some very nice deals.

It’s a seller’s market right now.

It’ll be a buyer’s market in 6 months to a year.

And that’s the very scary part of all this.
Someone is going to knock on a neighbors door for any reason and get shot by the homeowner who thinks someone wants to steal there toilet paper.

Shops are back logged on background checks around here. Some of the smaller shops have sold out of ARs.
