SA Operator 5” With Acro P-2 Installed - Photos

As I mentioned in another thread, my plate and optic were due in this week. Wasn’t sure about optic, but they both arrived today. Bit of cleaning under cover plate and screw holes with alcohol and new AOS plate dropped right in (it probably would have without cleaning, but I’m funny about clean installs). Perfectly cut fit either way. AIMPOINT fit the slide plate perfectly and I followed instructions to secure it with side screw. I don’t have a torque wrench as low as their recommended torque, so followed their further instructions to screw until slightly tight, then 1/4 to 1/2 turn after. Was going to go 1/2, but 1/4 seemed really tight. Anyway, finished it up and here it is. Plan is a zero in range trip on Monday.

Almost forgot, please ignore scratched up thread protector as apparently those 250 rounds I put through it in an hour yesterday seized it up a bit toward muzzle end so had to use vice grip to remove it. Even with a towel covering protector, a couple slips, because I didn’t want to squeeze too tight, did that to finish 🤷‍♂️. New one arrives tomorrow 😀.

some work as a torque wrench. if it has a numbered amount on it then it should be, but not necessarily. check the manual about it. if you used thread loc you should be gtg regardless. nice luuk'n pistola

It wanted no more than 2 in pounds. My “Fat” torque wrench has no markings between zero and 10 and then every 5 (bought it to torque 25 in pound slide plate and optics that screw into frame or plate. First time I’ve seen a 2 in pound torque recommendation…but at least they provided it in instructions - nice change of pace.
