Saint Victor 5.5 PDW and a FRT?

Has anyone installed a FRT into a Saint Victor 5.5 PDW, and if so, what bolt did you use and what if any buffer changes did you make?

Thank you. I d like to put an FRT into my Saint Victor 9mm PDW which has a 9mm blowback bcg. But, FRTs require a full-auto (M16) profile BCG to properly trip the reset mechanism. Standard semi-auto 9mm carriers may not present the correct trip surface. So I’m looking to see if anyone here has done a mod like this specifically to the Saint Victor 9mm PDW.

All the Springfield 9mm AR’s are based off the Colt pattern SMG and comes with a full auto profile bolt tail. The upper also has the trip sear oval cut.

Here is my original Colt SMG full auto, next to the PDW. The bolt back ends are both FA profile.

Also I have used my Springfield uppers on the full auto lower for fun. And they work no modifications to the upper needed.

Since FRT is based off the same timing you are good to go upper wise. The lower may or may not be compatible. But you can use the Arizona regulator or the new Hoffman tactical trip and that’ll work with the lower.

If I'm understanding what you're saying, it sounds like the 9mm blowback bolt in the PDW will support an arizona regulator FRT with no modifications needed to the BCG. Am I understanding that correctly?

Bolt carrier no, but the AZR might need tuning or get the version that comes with the trigger and disconnect that way they are made to work together. Or the new Hoffman Tactical trigger kicker

Forgive me please because I want to make sure I’m understanding the ballistics of it all. Today at the range I put the SA PDW upper on a full auto lower for a test and it did work fine. So this tells me I can likely use the Arizona Regulator FRT with very little concern for the trigger and more importantly the BCG. But one additional question, on the SA lower, do you think I would need to do anything with the buffer to add more weight to it?
