Sar9 SOCOM - 1st thoughts/1st shots

I shot at two targets, the first target I didn't grab a picture of, but this was shots 51-100 broken down like this:

7m - two handed - head only - 10 rounds
15m - two handed - body only - 10 rounds
7m - one handed left - body only - 10 rounds
7m - one handed right - body only - 10 rounds
7m - one handed left - head only - 5 rounds
7m - one handed right - head only - 5 rounds

I am by no means an every day shooter (want to change that eventually), and i'm definitely not a competition shooter, so be gentle with your critiques...I didn't bring lube.
All I can say is that target is in a world of hurt……looks good to me

Hey, thanks! That was a good all around practice session. That target took a lot of damage, you bet'cha. I try to practice once a week and take a training class once a month or so. My progress has in fits and starts, I have my good days and bad. Your hits would be good enough for self defense, except for a few flyers. I strive for "combat accuracy" without any collateral damage. We are responsible for every bullet that leaves the barrel. It won't be long before you've got it dialed in. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your indulgence,

That's the key that I feel most people don't understand when talking about firearms...the unofficial 5th safety rule, "Know your target and what lies beyond it". Back in school, one of the first papers I had to do was on the safety rules, and then I had to go through and breakdown and discuss 10 different hunting "accidents" that happened and discuss what could have been done differently to prevent them. I was shocked at how many times the wild game "swooped between both groups of shooters" and one group shot (and hit) the other group. I was shocked because I thought that it would be common sense to be like hey, i know that game is there, but maybe don't take the shot because it isn't clean, ya know?

Much appreciated, brother.
