Have a P365, bought it before all of the variations were released and found grip too small, it was easy to conceal but difficult to shoot accurately. Added a WILSON X MACRO "SHORT" grip module for about $75.00 and all is good. It is a much easier shooter and is now 17+1 instead of 10+1. A good option if you own an original P365 and find it a bit small. Peace

Under $700? That's casting a pretty broad net. There's a lot of pistols in our safe that cost less than $700 and I would definitely choose most any of them over the members of this list.

Interesting that the RXM is getting so much love. It certainly checks in at an appealing price point, but if one decides to purchase a different grip module, it moves into the price range of more proven pistols.

One thing is for certain. If someone claims they can't find a good pistol under $700 they aren't looking very hard.

Thanks for the link, Anni. Interesting article.

Probably (at least it seems to me) most of us here have the financial resources to allow us to consider under $700 an affordable pistol. But I suspect that a lot of people who need a gun for self/home protection much more than most of us would have a difficult time coming up with an xtra $700 or so. Maybe the writer should have lowered the threshold a little?

Thanks for the link to the article. Good read.

Its great that we all have choices.

I’d like to see a follow up article that breaks down the choices into size groups - for example, full size choices, compact choices, sub-compact, etc.

For me, it often comes down to size (that’s what she said, right!?)

I can’t do anything smaller than a Glock 19 comfortably.

It is, allegedly, a Glock clone, so there's that.
My glocks have a lot better triggers than the one i looked at. It ranked up there with the only two horrible triggered guns i ever owned. One a smith sd40. I put an apex trigger kit on it and it went from horrible to really bad. The other was a ruger lc9. Think if you hung a 15 pound weight on it might fire. Then maybe not.
