It is bone dry here and very hot been over 100 for a while and still more days to go. my fishing holes have just about dried up. the water is down to nothing and the fish have died by the hundreds cause the water is too hot. everything in these pics used to have water on them and fairly deep. we were down 25 inches a while back and then got some rain but back to no rain for a while now.

It;s going to take a lot of rain to fill these back up and then there won't be any fish cause they all died.

Heartbreaking......

Went back and took some pics, the dead fish was gone mostly, big cranes were everywhere. guess they ate most of them but the stench is still bad. I used to set poles out here and catfish, the water is a good 30 yards away now and it was almost to my poles.

It's hard to tell from the pic but from where i'm standing and that water you see is about 7 feet down. that's a pretty steep bank. and it looks like fall here with all the leaves falling.

a few years back we had no rain in july, aug and sept, when the tractor place picked up our tractor for yearly maintenance ( yes i know, but i save my bending allowance for important stuff, like the boat, range etc) the blades still had factory paint on them and they asked if we wanted new ones

i have few trees i am concerned about so they have buckets with 1/8 th hole to slowly drain into the soil along the roots
i had just over 1200 gallons of rain water in the barrels, down to 275 now and its mission critical only for the 2 trees.

i fear folks around around seeing thier august water bill,
