Well you are certainly welcome to follow the crowd, as for me I might opt for something more than what the crowd is doing. Kinda like when your mom said "If everyone was jumping off the cliff, would you jump too?" Its a lowest common crowd thing,
Your choice may work for you and Im happy for you but your reasoning seems questionable.
IDK, Ive always considered it a privilege to carry a handgun and a responsibility to carry a gun that I can fight with when needed. Yes as Ive said I do on rare occasions carry a tiny handgun; but those are for special events where I know the threat is low. So I go back to, if you can choose your attacker, and can be sure that he will be alone; then a mini gun might work for you BUT as a daily carry it seems like a good idea to be ready for more than the single mugger from the 1970s

A handgun is at best inconvenient to pack all day, and if it’s heavy enough, big enough, or uncomfortable enough sooner or later most folks will either leave it behind

Again IDK, because I used to pack two SAAs, sometimes with an additional derringer all concealed. I didnt find it difficult OR uncomfortable....but you should do as you think bestOne time several years ago I packed a 4 5/8”. Super Blackhawk concealed for a week just to see if I could. I did it, but it’s not something I have any desire to do again.
