Nice, picked a good design to work with. I have put a lot of miles on the old Kabar FUK. It solves at least one of the complaints I have with them the old leather handle is a bit too round and can twist when used heavily. The second issue I have is I do not want the top tine of the guard. I tend to remove that because it is not needed and just gets in the way of choking up for finer tasks.

Thanks, Sld1959. I agree about the original’s handle. SA’s Field Knife has a more rectangular cross section for a better “handshake.”
