I'm curious, what purpose does an extended mag serve on any pistol? To put something like that on a micro pistol seems to defeat the purpose of the gun altogether.

Having seen 30 round (plus) mags available for various pistols, I am curious how they affect balance of the gun. I can understand having a large magazine for a PCC, but would like to know from someone who uses them their reasoning.

While I have considered a belt fed EDC, my concerns that my pants would fall down have ruled it out.
