just added a reproduction Auto Ord to the collection. 🙂
I know a select person here who has an original ;)🙂

We also should remember that the Thompson was also chambered for a longer and higher-pressure 45-caliber cartridge. This was an experimental cartridge back in the day, and it was dismissed. This thinking isn't new. It has been revisited from time to time.

Everything old is new again.

A 1928-type Thompson chambered in 10mm Auto with a binary trigger arrangement would be a great option. This would permit one to buy a lightweight Thompson with the ability to drop a malefactor while putting the fear of God into any scumbag who dares accompany the creature.

Works for me.

Many years ago my late father introduced me to Grand Old retired Marine that owned the only gun shop in city limits.

Mr. Hauser was a window into another time.

He joined the Corps in the 30's and went to China. He rotated out prior to the war kicking off, and saw action on The Canal (as he called it) twice.
He landed as an enlisted man on his first go round, rotated back state side, and came back again as an officer flying the F4U1 Birdcage model Corsair.

To cut to the chase, he worked most days with his teeth out, cracked open his first beer before ten AM, and his cure for would be stick up men was a stockless M1928 on the shelf under the cash register......

Oh how I miss that foul mouthed old man.......

I was

I was going to post this very statement. The Thompson can handle it, but it would climb like crazy. The Vector in 10mm handles the cartridge in full-auto far better.
that pile of crap can barely handle semi.............i don't have the 10mil, only the 9 and 45. the cmmg is better than both with their rdb recoil. i don't shoot either vectors than much anymore

I have a 22 Vector, while it does work decently. i did have a couple jams but nothing serious but after owning it i decided i wouldn't have any other one in any caliber. awkward and very user unfriendly. or it is to me.
