So are there issues with the screw length and or thread pitch with the AOS Plate and optic? Specifically Holosun and grinding screws together shorten them. I’m going to go with either the Impact Machine or AOS. So I’m trying to understand more about the AOS plate system as far as the optic to plate fit. I’m aware of the 6x48 thread pitch on the plate to slide fit and obviously cleaning out the threads, degreasing, torque specs, extractor interference and blue locate regardless of the plate. I’m just trying to get the necessary information and screws together so if I purchase the AOS I have everything I need at once. You guys have been a huge help in answering my questions.

I didn’t have any problem with my AOS plate and I’ve changed optics on it at least twice. I would advise that you use Blue Loctite 243 rather than 242. It is better suited for small gun screws and from what I read is more effective than 242. I just used it on my latest acquisition.
 
No experience with AOS plate but I did see some gripes about screw lengths that come with holosun but to me it was mostly people that wanted holosun to include every possible length/pitch for every possible system.

My issue was with Glock POS MOS rmsc adaptor plate with eps. Bought an after market plate from Glockstore and all was right as rain.

Rather than grinding suggest using a pair of super champs if needed
