WEED

If you don't think that happened before weed was legal, you might be high.....
Of course it did (and Im guessing becuse you guys dont like absolutes), but because folks thought hey its legal I can smoke it an drive now. The jump in driving while high can be seen to rise after the legalization in each state

I read that a routine test for being enibreated during a traffic stop is not possible however a urine test will reveal THC for up to 30 days after you consumed any product with THC.

Detection windows also depend on the kind of test a person undertakes. The most common testTrusted Source for cannabinoid detection is the urine drug screen. General estimatesTrusted Source for various cannabis tests are as follows:
  • Urine tests: These tests can detect cannabis in the urine for approximately 1 to 30 days after use.
  • Saliva tests: Typically, cannabis is detectable in saliva for up to 24 hours. However, some evidence suggests an oral test can detect THC from a THC cigarette for up to 30 hours after use.
  • Hair tests: This type is the most sensitive test, detecting THC for up to 90 days after use. However, older research notes that these test the oil in the skin that transfers to hair, so they may occasionally show a false positiveTrusted Source.
  • Sweat tests: Cannabis may be detectable in sweat for 7 to 14 days.
  • Blood tests: A blood test can only detect THC for a few hours.

I must have missed it when this websites' AWK 2A sub-forum turned into a Reddit/X/Facebook/Arfcom GD clone.

CORRECT. I can only speak for Maryland but First theres the stop for whatever traffic violation, (speed, lights, swerving etc), then theres the initial contact where the officer observes the driver and sniffs. Thats followed by field sobriety tests (one leg stand, walk and turn, etc), The if trained the officer does a Horizontal gaze nystagmus test (shaking eyes) and possibly a field breath test (preliminary breath test-not evidence), and makes a decision whether or not to arrest

IF arrested and IF the driver elects to take an actual breath test AND if the test shows 0.0 alcohol then a Drug Recognition Expert is called in to do further visual tests on the driver (pupil size and reaction time etc), and if that indicates drugs (and which type) the driver is taken for a blood draw

Correct.
I read that if a person only has THC in their system and when they see the police lights, that very second they get pulled over, their automatic reaction is a bit of their adrenaline kicks in and that kills the high feeling and LE trained officer has unfortunately has a difficult time to determining if the person is enibreated by THC and driving on the streets.

So they were pulled over for "some" reason, then its just a question of determining if they were just changing the radio station (not paying attention) OR if theres something ( alcohol and/or drugs) thats causing their issue.

A good cop with training and experience has a high likelihood of making that decision. My department had a DWI Task Force with officers who had been doing that kinda stuff for years. They made maybe 10+ arrest every week, some more. When I worked midnights one DWI a week wasnt hard to find. Every officer was trained in basic DWI and drug stuff. The DRE (drug recognition experts) had to pass a course akin to a paramedic in recognizing drug effects. The training was classroom and ER based.

I could typically write a simple DWI arrest in about an hour from arrest to process. If the driver wants to do a breath test add another hour because not every station had a breathalyzer or an operator (the arresting officer couldnt perform the breath test) BUT a DRE test could add another 2 or 3 hours, which included a trip to the ER for a blood draw. Trust me the Bosses wouldnt have approved the training or work time if it wasnt worth while.

AGAIN thats just Maryland

Im NOT a fan of legalizing pot. Toooo many times I heard, "Its just pot" and its not; but those days are gone

You are detained/arrested for your driving behavior, initially. You can refuse any and all tests, but will automatically lose your license.
