Based on a few members here talking about it, I picked this up. I'll start it tomorrow morning after errands and chores are finished. I love sitting outside on my front porch reading. I can't do it on the back porch because the dogs would never leave me alone long enough to finish a paragraph.

AGAIN! You thought WAR AND PEACE was long winded? I've been working on this book for 50 years. So many start overs that I don't recall how many. It is the only thing on my bucket list, but I fear it will turn into my white whale. How Rome ever concorded a bunch of grapes, let alone created an empire is beyond me.

 so did my father. A WWII combat vet and one of the frozen chosen, and a whole lot of other vets from that time. Childs is for mind numbing entertainment. If you're looking for reliable information, you're looking in the wrong place. Maybe try J.R.R. Tolkin.;)
