IIRC is was part our class in junior high TEXAS HistoryFor those not "in the know" about Texas and Gruene Hall, it's an icon:
Gruene Hall, built in 1878 by Henry (Heinrich) D. Gruene and located in the historical town of Gruene, Texas (now a part of New Braunfels), bills itself as "the oldest continually run dance hall in Texas". By design, not much has physically changed since the hall was first built. The 6,000-square-foot (560 m2) dance hall with a high-pitched tin roof still has the original layout with side flaps for open-air dancing, a bar in the front, a small lighted stage in the back, and a huge outdoor garden. Advertisement signs from the 1930s and 1940s still hang in the old hall and around the stage
our last 2 we just went to wally worldOur thoughts are if we are going to buy a TV, then just order it from Amazon and be done with the search for crappy service. It will ship from the nearest Best buy and the geeks will come and set up, and they test it before leaving. They're both big box stores, but I don't have to talk with anyone else but my wife.
By having delivery, it eliminated the whole nightmare of people and trying to get it in the house. Since I'm disabled and don't walk so well, nor have the full use of my arm, I hate the public and Walmart seems to be the worst of it. Amazon brings my groceries and the dog food and whatever else I need.our last 2 we just went to wally world
my last was a 47 roko ONN tv...very middle priced and it beats the crap out of my samsung tv

Remember when TVs were an expensive, luxury item? In the mid-70s, the Sony Trinitron was sort of the top dog color TV. I bought one from the Navy Exchange around 1977, and it set me back $400,00 if I recall. That was a buttload of money back then. Turntables, amps, speakers, all expensive and popular.i haven't even considered ordering a tv from amazon.
there was a tv store not far from me, he sold NIB tv's, but were over stock items....they were still...NIB, name brands..
that man retired, recently.
now a days, i just go into the walmart store, check out what brands they have, and just buy it...today in fact, walmart has a TCL 50" for $238.99
no, i did not buy it...today.
my tv room is small, the wifes tv room is larger, so we buy according to the chart regarding tv size to room size.
right now, all tv's are fine......so no need to upgrade.
70⁰ is our winter temperature!Anything over 70F and I'm sweating!

I hear you. When I'm 100% pain-free, I'll know I'm not above ground.I've had so many things wrong with my body that we are getting to my comfort zone!![]()
I used to love vinyl seats in the older trucks, when I parked the truck, I always tried to get the sun in the windshield cuz it heated up the seat and heated my back so well!I hear you. When I'm 100% pain-free, I'll know I'm not above ground.
