Just got off the fone a few minutes ago with the auto body shop to see if they had time to repair my daughter's vehicle. No thanks to a deer there was damage to the grill, headlight, a/c condenser and fender from what i remember. Although she was going posted speed limit it didn't help avoid the issue. Good thing is it didn't end up in the windshield. I encountered 10 or more impacts with deer on the 5 mile stretch from my house to the highway in my 4.5 decades of driving that same piece of road. Trees right next to the road doesn't help and txdot won't cut them down! Any over width loads will be in oncoming traffic's lane in a bad line of sight. It almost happened to me as there was no lead vehicle as txdot requires. I confirmed this will a local txdot trooper. This road is a narrow 2-lane that needs improvement. I've complained for decades about this problem
