I decided to get HIGH for the 4th, up one of my closest & favorite hikes.

But only made it up to 8,252 feet since the HIGH Country is holding more snow than typical by this time in July.

The peak with the most snow is over 9,000 ft. Been up there in the before but only when the white stuff clears up more.

Nonetheless a great place to celebrate and reflect on the 4th.
 
Just got our power back on, actually no storms, the transmission line feeding our city went out, just a tad over 2 hours…..did it get warm in our place…..
