What are you doing right now??

Oh no!

Maggie was euthanized at 1:45 this afternoon. This is one of the worst days of my life. My little girl is now all better. I'm not. This pic was taken this morning went she went outside this morning-the last picture taken of her.View attachment 120733

I don't know what to say. I know I'm going to miss waking up with Maggie and coffee. You have my deepest sympathies.

Peace and strength,

Cliff

I am sorry to read about this. Sometimes there just isn't any other answer. It hurts deep inside but you know she is no longer in any pain. The memories you have with her will never go away.

May Maggie rest in peace.

Well, the first morning having coffee without my girl. God, what a lonely feeling. This is not what I expected to happen. I had plans, nobody knew but I was going to stop working at the end of the year then I would again be able to spend our days together. Now I don't know what to do. Wife has been crying since yesterday. There will never be another Maggie. Will probably not get another one as at 70 I do not want to leave a dog alone if something happens to me. Plus just don't think I could go thru this again. That dog was an angel.

so sorry to hear this...and we have ALL been thru this, so we know the hurt.

you do still have options when you retire

1) you could volunteer at an animal shelter, and have a bevy amount of friends that will play with you.

2) you could foster a dog (or) cat, for its new home

3) you could get a gig as a dog walker...provided no Great Danes are involved.....lol

probably a few more options others may know of.

i know all too well, that at my age and wife's age a pet for us is out of the question, plus i have a boatload of allergies.

not only that, but should one of us die, which will happen some day...the other most likely will be going to live with one of our kids, that's already been established....

again, so sorry for your loss.

she had a long wonderful life, and great parents.

Hi,

May blessings of peace and comfort be multiplied upon you and yours.

In memory of Maggie,

Cliff

I just wanted to point out a very nice experience I had with a fellow forum member. @rcurtner is a very generous member of this forum, and a pleasure to correspond with on the forum's message center. If you all remember, a few days ago rcurtner offered members of this forum a holster he was giving away. You guys weren't quick enough! lol In today's mail I received not only one holster, but a second bonus holster! Next time I'm around your part
